About TrueCost

TrueCost helps you look beyond a product’s upfront price.

Why we built this site

The cost of owning a printer or coffee machine often includes supplies and upkeep after the initial purchase. TrueCost brings those costs into one calculation you can adjust to match how you expect to use a product.

What you can expect

Our calculators show the assumptions behind an estimate and let you change important inputs. We aim to keep product identity and source information clear. The least expensive estimate for one scenario is only one part of a buying decision; product features, reliability and performance matter too.

TrueCost starts with printer and coffee calculators for UK visitors. Read our calculation approach and send us a correction or question.
